BCA admission without mathematics is now a reality!
There is no need to opt for mathematics in the 12th standard! The requirements of mathematics for admission to the Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) have been abolished by The Academic Council. Those students who did not have mathematics in 12th can now apply to BCA programs.
New Curriculum and BCA Admission Without Mathematics!
For admission to BCA, Professor Omkar Singh, the Vice-Chancellor announced the new curriculum for students that
- General category students need 45% in the 12th board examination
- Reserved category students need 40% marks.

Bridge Course in Mathematics
It should be noted those who did not have mathematics in 12th standard but opt the BCA program then studying the bridge course in mathematics in the first semester is compulsory. In which, they need to score 30% in external exams and 40% in internal assessments. Additionally, Mathematics is a must in the 10th standard. Choosing basic or standard all depends on you.
Aspirants who are looking to pursue their career in computer applications but did not have mathematics in 12th standard, now have a golden opportunity as they have more challenges to explore in this cut-throat competition. However, the students should remember that if any of them fail to clear the bridge course then their BCA admission without mathematics is automatically canceled. Besides this, no grace marks will be given in order to clear the bridge course.
