The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the admit cards for the CUET (UG) 2024 re-exam, addressing grievances and ensuring a fair examination process for all affected candidates. Here’s everything you need to know about the re-exam and how to download your admit card.

Overview of CUET (UG) 2024 Examination

The CUET (UG) 2024 was held in a hybrid mode (Computer-Based Test and Pen & Paper) on various dates in May 2024, accommodating about 13.48 lakh candidates across 379 cities, including 26 international locations. The initial examination dates were May 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, 24, and 29.

Grievances and Challenges

From July 7 to July 9, 2024, candidates were invited to submit challenges to the CUET (UG) 2024 via an official public notice. The subject experts reviewed these challenges, and based on their feedback, the final answer keys are being prepared and will be uploaded soon on the official CUET (UG) 2024 website.

Retest Announcement

Following the review of grievances submitted by June 30, 2024, and additional complaints sent between July 7 and July 9, the NTA has decided to conduct a retest on July 19, 2024, in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode for affected candidates. Notifications have been sent to these candidates via email, specifying their subject codes.

Admit Cards and Examination Instructions

Admit cards for the retest have been released. Affected candidates can download their admit cards from the CUET (UG) 2024 website, https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/) using their Application Number and Date of Birth. Candidates must read the subject-specific instructions and other guidelines mentioned in the question paper and the Information Bulletin.

For any issues in downloading the admit card, candidates can contact the NTA helpline at 011 – 40759000 / 011 – 69227700 or email at cuet-ug@nta.ac.in. Regular updates will be available on the NTA websites www.nta.ac.in, http://www.nta.ac.in and https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/.

Key Issues Leading to Retest

The retest has been mandated due to various issues such as:
– Loss of exam time
– Incorrect distribution of question papers in different languages
– Alleged paper leaks at specific centers, notably involving 250 candidates from Oasis Public School in Hazaribagh.

These complications raised significant concerns among students and stakeholders, necessitating a fair retest.

Provisional Answer Key and Irregularities

The CUET 2024 provisional answer key, released on July 7, indicated potential retests if grievances were found valid. Students reported irregularities in the answer key, including incorrect answers and misidentification of options, raising questions about the fairness of the process.

Expected Result Announcement

After the retest, the NTA is anticipated to release the CUET result 2024 by July 22, 2024, providing clarity to all candidates involved. The CUET UG exams originally faced delays due to logistical challenges, with the final examination commencing on May 19, 2024.
