In 2024, to ensure the fair allocation of marks the NEET PG support in two shifts and NBE will use the normalization process. In this process, the marks obtained by the candidates will be converted into normalized scores. After that, the Percentile Scores will be calculated to 7 decimal places so that they can avoid the bunching effect.
Working of the Normalization Process
- The highest score in each paper will be considered as 100 percent.
- The lowest score will have a percentile depending on the total number of candidates who took the examination.
- The normalization process ensures that candidates are not disadvantaged due to differences in exam difficulty across shifts.
