Examination Scheme
The examination consists of three stages:
- Preliminary Examination: Candidates obtaining minimum marks fixed by the Commission will qualify for the Main Examination.
- Main Examination: Candidates obtaining minimum marks fixed by the Commission will qualify for the interview.
- Interview: Candidates will be arranged in order of merit based on marks obtained in the Main Examination and interview.

Selection Process of Chhattisgarh State Services Examination Rules
- Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the Main Examination and interview.
- The Commission will prepare a merit list for each post, considering reserved vacancies for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and OBC candidates.
- A supplementary list will be prepared for each post, comprising 25% of the total number of candidates in the main list.

Eligibility Criteria for Chhattisgarh State Services Examination Rules
To be eligible, candidates must:
- Be a citizen of India
- Hold a degree from a recognized university or equivalent qualification
- Meet the age requirements (21-30 years, relaxable for certain categories)
- Good mental and bodily health
- Free from physical defects that may interfere with duty discharge
- Minimum height and chest girth requirements for certain posts
Age Relaxations
- Up to 5 years for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and OBC candidates
- Up to 3 years for defence personnel and repatriates
- Up to 8 years for displaced persons belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, or OBC
Educational Qualifications
- A degree from a recognized university or equivalent qualification
