  • The Supreme Court bench led by CJI DY Chandrachud refused to postpone the exam. The reason behind this is to not take the risk of putting the careers of lakhs of aspirants in jeopardy.
  • Only the corners of the majority of aspirants and their family members can not be considered over the interests of a few petitioners
  • The Supreme Court clearly announced that the exam would not be rescheduled because it would affect the future of 2 lakh students and the hopes of 4 lakh parents for their career prospects.

  • Primarily, the petitioner’s complaint is that the exam centers were allocated to them in the short notice period so it create difficulties for them to plan their commute.
