No Direct Recruitment in UPSC! Modi Government Puts Hold on Lateral Entry Advertisements!
The Centre has put a hold on the lateral entry recruitment process for 45 joint secretary, deputy secretary, and director-level posts.
The predominant aim behind this is to ensure compliance with reservation provisions so the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released an advertisement on August 17 for the posts. Therefore, the government has considered this move as a response to opposition criticism that the process was against reservation policies.
